As a diabetic educator and Psychologist, Samreen Masud holds the Diabetes Q&A Sessions on Treatment Hazards in Diabetes on every Friday.
Samreen Masudsamreen is currently serving as a Clinical Psychologist at Willing Ways Lahore. She has done her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore and her BSc. Hons. in Applied Psychology from Kinnaird College as well.
She has had the experience of working as an intern at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center. There she became expert in counseling and relaxation techniques working with cancer patients both adults and children. At Shaukat Khanum, Samreen dealt with some common disorders such as Anxiety, Depression and OCD. She was also trained in palliative care counseling.
Samreen also worked as an intern at Combined Military Hospital where she dealt with some major psychotic disorders such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar and Borderline Personality Disorders. She also became proficient in a few psychometric assessment tools such as MMPI, TAT, HTP, RPM etc.
Before coming to Willing Ways, Samreen also worked as an honorary intern for almost a year at Shalamar Hospital in the Children’s Reconstructive Surgery and Research Center (CRSRC) where she was in charge of providing counseling and therapies for burn victims, their families and families of children with congenital deformities. At Shalamar Hospital, Samreen was trained to be skilled in providing crucial information on burns and its prevention.
Her research works include Social Difficulties in Young Cancer Survivors, Psychotherapy Practice in Pakistan and as a part of CRSRC research team, Samreen worked on the Statistical Analysis of Burn Patients in Lahore.
Samreen is also well equipped herself in Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy by attending different workshops conducted by Dr. Asir Ajmal .
