About Her

As a Diabetic Educator and Psychologist, Shumaila Batool holds the Diabetes Q&A Sessions on Stress Management in Diabetes on every Saturday. Shumaila Batool is a clinical Psychologist in Willing Ways Lahore. She has done her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Punjab University Lahore. She has done DCCP (Diploma in Clinical Counseling and Psychotherapy) from University of Management and Technology (UMT) Lahore. She did her internship from Mayo Hospital, Lahore for 2 years. The training included regular participation in clinical case conferences, assessment, evaluation and management of psychological aspects of mental disorders. She has experience working in Adult and Child Psychiatry and Drug Addiction Departments. She has attended conferences, seminars and journal club regularly and participated in various camps and community health programs. Shumaila underwent administrative duties, i.e., making rosters, allocation of the batches, etc. quiet efficiently. She also worked as a coordinator in the International Psychiatric Symposiums held by the Pakistan Psychiatric Welfare Association and Department of Psychiatry King Edward Medical University/Mayo Hospital Lahore. She gave lectures on ‘Personality’ in King Edward University, Lahore in the Department of Ophthalmology. She did her research on ‘Autism’ in which the main focus was the effect of behaviour modification techniques. She participated in various workshops, such as ADHD, Stress Management in students, REBT, CBT, Awareness of HIV/AIDS and Time Management. At Willing ways, she is actively performing her duties as a professional Clinical psychologist which includes: individual psychotherapy sessions of both Indoor and Outdoor patients, family sessions of the respective patients, and group therapy of the patients with various psychiatric illnesses. She also trains the new professionals on the latest program related to Teens problems with the title of “Smart but Scattered Teens”. Along with other areas of expertise she has the distinctive experience of working with the patients of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She is a committed, regular and hardworking professional.
